Jason was born and raised in North Dakota and began his financial services career at Piper Jaffray & Co. in 2001. He later joined Stifel in 2009. He has attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification and holds his Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses. He earned an Associate of Arts from Bismarck State College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Mary, Bismarck.
In the office, Jason strives to be both a great leader and mentor, and to create an unparalleled work atmosphere. He puts extraordinary thought into his work, and it is evident in his contribution to not only our clients but to our team as well. Through a growth-focused lens, Jason has a keen eye for ways to develop and enhance our processes, relationships, and to broaden our knowledge to better serve our clients.
In the community, Jason is a past board president of MSA United Way and the Bismarck Public Schools Foundation. He has volunteered with Junior Achievement and other nonprofits throughout the community, and has coached youth baseball, football, and hockey.
Outside of the office, Jason enjoys collecting guitars, a strong cup of coffee (a morning requirement), and a great glass of Malbec. He also enjoys travel and pursuing life experiences, whether it’s skydiving over the lakes of Minnesota, taking a tango class in Buenos Aires, enjoying the hot springs of Costa Rica, or bungee jumping in New Zeeland, he seldom passes up a good adventure. Most of all, he’s a dedicated father and loves spending time with his family and friends. He believes the best life is a life that has been fully lived.
As a portfolio manager in Stifel’s Solutions Program, Jason manages assets on a discretionary basis using a highly personalized and disciplined approach for clients who choose this advisory services program. He believes goals and objectives are personal to each client, and the approach taken and advice given should be as well.
The Solutions program requires a minimum investment, which varies by strategy. Ask your Financial Advisor for a Disclosure Brochure, which further outlines the fees, services, exclusions, and disclosures associated with this program. Since all investment decisions in a Solutions account are made by the Financial Advisor without having to receive prior client approval, it is important that Solutions clients have detailed knowledge of the Financial Advisor’s individual investment philosophy and decision-making process before entrusting him or her with their portfolio. You should consider all terms and conditions before deciding whether the Solutions Program and any particular strategy are appropriate for your needs.
